Who we are
Logiks ("we", "us") builds and sells Logiks OMR, a desktop app that marks bubble answer sheets. "You" means the school or organisation that buys a plan. You can reach us at [email protected].
How orders are processed
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our card orders. Paddle handles card payments, billing questions about them, and refunds for them. Orders paid by invoice are billed by Logiks directly.
Your plan and licence
A plan gives you the right to install and use Logiks OMR on your own school computers for as long as the plan is paid. You do not own the software; you hold a licence to use it.
Every plan includes every feature. Plans differ by the number of answer sheets you normally mark in a day: Starter up to 150, School up to 600, Campus with no daily limit. Starter and School cover one campus. Campus covers every campus of one school organisation.
If you regularly mark more than your plan allows, nothing stops working. We will suggest the plan that fits, and we never charge you more without your agreement.
Licence keys
Each plan comes with a licence key. It is for your school only: do not share, sell or publish it. The app checks the key, and from time to time contacts our licence server to collect the renewed key after each payment. Only the key itself is sent, never your exam data.
Payment and renewal
Prices are in US dollars and shown on our website. Card payments may include sales tax or VAT where the law requires it.
Plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Card plans are charged on the same day each period. Invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice.
If a payment fails or an invoice is not paid, we may pause your licence after reminding you by email.
Changing and cancelling
You can move to another plan at any time. The new price applies from your next payment.
You can cancel any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next payment. Your licence keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Your data stays with you
Logiks OMR runs on your computers. Answer sheets, marks, class lists and student names are stored there and are never sent to Logiks.
You are responsible for backing up that data, for who at your school can sign in, and for having the right to process your students' information under the laws that apply to you.
Checking results
The app reads and marks sheets automatically. Staff should check results before they are published or used for decisions about students, in the same way as any other marking.
What you may not do
You may not resell or rent the app, copy it for use outside your school, try to remove or get around the licence check, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this.
Updates and support
We release updates to fix problems and improve the app. Support is by email. School and Campus plans also include a setup call with your staff.
Our responsibility
We build Logiks OMR with care, but we cannot promise it will be free of every error. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is".
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
